About. Longer version.

SÉRGIO TAVARES · 2025

I’m Sérgio Tavares. Consultant, researcher and strategic advisor on service, design and strategy for the coming age of intelligence. PhD. Author of Sojourn. Writer of Everybody’s Smart.

Brazilian / Luxembourghish, living in Helsinki. I’ve worked across Finland, Canada, Italy, Germany, Sweden, France, the USA, Brazil, the UAE. I’ve been in the room through 2008, COVID, and the arrival of AI.

My practice has three rooms that feed each other: consulting (AI transformation, design strategy), research (advising four universities on future of work & innovation), and writing & teaching (the book, the newsletter, and The Workroom).

I’ve carried a €1M/yr sales targets, led design teams and served over 30M+ users in CX, and been in hiring rooms where careers were made and unmade. The Workroom is the first time I’m mentoring early-career professionals publicly.
